Raven

O' Raven,
Confess to me what your eyes have seen
O' Raven,
Please care not for how I would feel
The world is darker
Once more, and yet
Raven, O' Raven,
You, I won't forget
Strike flight with your feathers afloat
Your dark-stricken shaded wings
Blocking out the sun
Let naught the mistakes of the past sting
A wanderer you've become, always on the run
What is it that chases you?
What is it you wish to forget?
A vagabond, in motion
Once more, and yet
O' Raven,
I thank your honesty even if it hurt me
O' Raven,
What you see within me is truly obscene
The timing could not be worse
But the feedback was given, and I did ask for yours
Raven, O' Raven
Lead me from the horizon
Lead me forth
I'll follow your dark-stricken shaded wings along
Should your shade once block my vision
I'll simply trust you, and rely on yours
Perhaps you're beautiful
Perhaps you're scary
I wouldn't truly know
That's not how you see me
That's not it at all
That's not how I view you
O' Raven,
I could not
Raven, O' Raven
I swore I would not
