Sincerely
Dear brother of mine,
I write to you from my current residence
This letter will never make its way to you, I know
But I write to you all the same
Dear brother, I still hope that you're alive
I left everything behind and went the distance
I'm still going, mind you, until I fall
There are those who did call me insane
Dear brother, you are alive in my mind
And the memory of you is all the evidence I need of your existence
I've sailed across the open sea to another kingdom, and I'll flow
With the water till I find someone who'll respond to your name
Dear brother, I call for you every night
And I renew the vow that we've made together, to uphold the resistance
To uphold all the knowledge sealed within, and no
I still believe that our father is to blame
Dear brother, his darkened soul has taken over since your disappearance
He pushed me so much that I left two years before I planned I would
He wishes not to have children that he loves
But a walking legacy of himself, a memory of his memory
Dear brother, his philosophy genuinely scares me in its inherence
And if you were dead then his hands are the ones covered in red
To think that our memory in other's minds is the thing that which our mere existence depends on
It's frightening that a single man can think so magnanimously
Dear brother, you're missed sorely, and missed true
But only by those who love you
I know not if mother still lives, but I heard no new news
I just wish I could reach where you are
If you live then I'll bring you back, brother
And dear brother, if you don't, then I'll bury you back home
Sincerely, and forever yours
-Bellin.
