 It was a dark night
And darker yet was the future ahead
We stayed together, you and me
Afraid
Perhaps it was the nerves that came across
And told us that the world did end
Perhaps it was the pain of the loss
That made us feel that night was endless
We didn't sleep, no we couldn't dare
Then we slept through the process and the road
A few years later you were in deep pain
And I was reborn
Anew, you and me, we conquer and win
I make sure you're happy

Your young precious spirit
And innocence, they inspire

What a dark trip we had taken recently
Went together on a long drawn-out visit
To the darker corner of our little heart
The strangest spots within our mind
The olden memories of a time past
The things that have once declined
I speak to you, brother to brother

Ever so proud of what we are

A beam of light for us all
