As the time stands still

 As the time stands still
And you look around
As the world comes to an end
And starts again
You search your surroundings
For safe haven
A place to hide in
As the walls collapse
As the buildings fall
And all that you've worked for in the past
Everything you've been building
You see no fruit in it
But you're resilient
And you can build again and again
So take heart, my dearest one
And begin again
As the time stands still
Take a look around and analyze
The world around you as it is
Figure out the mistakes of the past times
Learn from your faults
Build again and again
Become ever so lost
In your craft, and yourself
You're you, after all
A little struggle, a little downfall
Will never topple you
You're a mountain, a solid state
That can never be moved
And an unstoppable object might come your way
Every once in a while
All you have to do is move yourself slightly
To let it pass by
Maybe keep it around you for a little bit
Maybe talk to it
But in the end it'll always break loose
In the end it will always go past you
Because you have to move, but not bend or break
You need to be tough as always
Be yourself, and be - not - afraid
As the time stands still
As the pillars break and collapse
As the earth shakes and throws a tantrum
While it all happens so fast
The time stands still for you
Giving you a small little chance
To figure out where in the foundation
Did it all break apart
Where in your ruminations
Did you get all lost
Find yourself again
Find the world, and perfect it
For you, the time still stands
Just please, respect it
