Like there's no tomorrow

 As we walk through the village
Hands locked together
Arms touching
Eyes mending
We say no words
But the sky speaks
The eyes seek
The truth within
The love that we feel
We do not have fears
We live like there's no tomorrow
Like there was never any sorrow
The starlight is there to guide us
For us to follow
The paths that have made us
Cross one another
Smile in something
They work so well to disguise
The fact that before we came along
One another we were gonna die
We lived with no harmony
We walked the paths alone
We loved in a hegemony
Lead by the mistakes of our own
Past that we remember
Darkness within
The world surrounding us
Had slowly started to dim
And you and me, my dearest
Refuse to break
We broke apart a million times through
A world in a constant war
Is what we had to endure
We lived like there was no tomorrow
But for vastly different reasoning
We were lead astray by our sorrow
Almost like a meal with no seasoning
Tasteless we lived our lives
We did survive
We walked the paths that lead us here
You and I
You're my best friend
When I look into a mirror
I see you within me
Bolstering my resolve
Now we live like there's no tomorrow
Like our happiness is ours
We do not have to borrow
We work tirelessly
Unlike we ever did
You and I are one and the same
You're my best friend
And till the end of times
We will live this way
Unconstrained by time
Free to do as we wish
Free to live
Free to breathe
Free to speak
Free to be free
Set ablaze
Refuting the lies
That put us in our
Darkest place
On fire
Full of desire
Awoken
Revoking our ire
With a smile on our faces
You and I go places
You're me
And I'm you
With no fear
We push through
You're within
And I'm outside
I was without
Your advice
For so damn long
I'm surprised
That we survived
For enough to know
That the paths were irrelevant
We're all gonna die eventually
So we might as well live
Like there's no tomorrow
