 We started this journey
A little more than a year ago
Look at us now, man

Look how much we've grown
How many suicidal thoughts
And that single attempt too
How far we've went through that year
And how much we've been through
Before and after is a complete change
And we're so glad we've survived, no?
Always staring into the space
Wondering when it'll be our time, though
Still doing so
And not a care in the world
But we've improved so much, man
And we've grown oh so old
In the darkness we used to bloom
In the starlight we do so now
We used to dance all alone
With our ghosts, somehow
But look at as and at our wings
And at our voices when we sing
We go off into our element
And fly off into the sky
We ignore our speech impediment
And we utter the loudest cries
You and I together we will
Conquer all of our ill-wills
Our future is ours alone
To seize and resist the curses
And maintain a positive tone
Smile and smile oh so wide
Let the bitter-sweetness finally run out
Let the sweetness only stay
And hope to god you're not hellbound
We stand tall now in today
Compared to a year ago when we were short and stout
You and I have finally arrived
To our new home, safe and sound
And so we will find the wills
Within us to fight the good fight
We were oh so drained my dear
But now we have wings and we'll take flight
Fly off into the unknown
Open our arms wide and be free
Believe in ourselves and in our soul
To guide us without uttering words
She knows us far, far too well
Even if she never speaks
Our soul is pure and she's an artist
And today could be her peak
But she'll peak further, my dear heart

You, our soul, our guardian angel, and me

Forever we will be strong
We've walked our paths of distinction
We were on the bring of extinction
And yet we held on
Held on to our inner truth
That one day we will achieve something
