I love you

 I don't really love a thing
But I love you
The creatures that stares back at me
Through and through
Together we'll forever be
And we'll both die alone
I am you and you are me
We're both the same stone
A story I wrote ages ago
Described who you truly are
The fading memory in my mirror
That stares from a far
The man who smiles back and whispers to me
That everything will be okay
And that we'll be free
I love you and I love your presence
And I wish to never hurt you
Despite how often you hurt me
You are my soul, you are my essence
You fill me with pain and glee
We're both familiar to all we know
And we know why we do the things we do
You are me and I am you
You despise me, and I love you
We cry together silently in the depths of the night
Quietly tearing up our eyes
And tearing up inside
We hug each other you and me the presences are combined
In each other, my dear, we are confined
In no one else but you will I ever confide
I trust none but you, me, and time
To prove to the whole world
That we're truly one and the same
All of this is absurd
Even if you kill me one day
I'll still smile back at you
And tell you all will be well
As we fade away from this world
With nothing left to tell
No stories and no tales
No knowledge of our fates
We just know that slowly we'll fade
In each other's arms
I love you
You've always had me charmed
You're my inner soul
You're my inner beast
The one who kills them all
And the one who saves me
You're my own monster
The one I put on a leash
You and her combined
Represent all of me
