Crashing down

 When the sky came crashing down
I was left to my instruments
To try and survive being downed
With nothing but ornaments
Fend for myself
Learn to fight fear
Make the fear frightened
Of me
Scare the world into submission
As my eyes did shine bright
My own soul went through remission
As my mind and body took up the fight
A war within a world
That housed none but me
And my own
For when the sky came crashing down
I was left alone
And when lands released the hounds
I was left to atone
For the sins of humanity
The mistakes we all made
The communal fallacies
The promises we did break
So when the sky comes crashing down next
I will be prepared
And when the world comes to a stop
I will be right there
If not in body, then in essence
I will be with you all when the time comes
When the sky comes crashing down
We will survive it
All as one
So don't let go of the hands
That hold you through the night
Make sure you've got a partner
To survive the coming blight
And in the wars and battles
That will further ensue
The only determining factor
Is simply all of you
