Upside down

 On my way down I saw
The world upside down
I have jumped, now I'm flying
To the ground
In front of me I see
A beautiful world
My heart's pumping extreme amounts
Of blood
The tension rising, the music playing
The world is upside down
The blood my heart's pumping
Will be splattered on the ground
Once I land from my flight
I'll crash down gently
Softly break my bones
The image I see before me
Outlives them all
Before my eyes I am alive
For the last time
I took a dive and look upon
A world that's upside down
The people's frowns are smiles
Their tired eyes awake
The terrible buildings now look pretty
The ocean to me waves
I see the river bed from here
A sky of its own
I am floating upside down
On my own
The world has turned
Even if not for long
It has turned upside down
I now witness a world so great
With no witnesses around
The people screamed when they saw me
Floating down
Flying more like with my head first
Ready to reach the ground
I am set free
My soul shall roam forever
My heart is more alive
That I was, ever
The motion's fast the velocity strong
Yet time moves really slow
The view I see in front of me
Has no equals that it knows
The world reversed my thoughts are too
A smile creeps on my face
I shall land and face my fate
But grinning, and safe
For once in my life I feel content
I feel like I am alive
Even if it is for the final time
It was worth it now
For I got to see an entire world
Upside down

Today is the fifth week from the darkest night The king remains bed-ridden I must attend to more and more Of matters for which I care not But my king's orders are to be followed He knows best after all I follow him best I can To know, to learn For one day I will lead these people too His son is long-gone, and no heir apparent remains He claims his son will return But I know that's just an old man's hopeful tale The king's wise, calm and secure But he calculates oh so poor It's why I'm here For every time he steps into the streets Someone could make an attempt on his life So I ensure the streets are clear I ensure his safety's paramount always And yet sometimes he evades my gaze He sneaks out and is always safe I will never understand the gift this man possesses...
