The Seer
The seer spoke to the visitor
"Your future is strange, stranger
And full of dangers
Should you choose to learn the truth
Hidden in all the lies within you
You'll have to walk a path
Unfamiliar, odd, with no clues"
The visitor sighed and lied down
On the ground he lay there
His face facing the stars in the sky
Wondering, pondering what he had heard
For the seer spoke to the visitor
"You'll see hazy strangers on the road
They'll help you better than anyone would,
than anyone ever could.
They'll turn from strangers to loved ones fast
And the people you once loved will be forgotten
Sooner than later those strangers will turn back
Turn their back on you as they become strangers again
My dear boy you mustn't fret, or be scared
This is the way of life, everyone has it this way."
He wasn't afraid, no
He just wondered what if
What would be if he had walked
A different path, a different road
Would he have found what he had hoped?
The seer spoke to the visitor
"Under the starry skies and the sunlight you'll walk
Walk for ages upon ages there, searching true
For those who have once loved you
You wonder and wander far, unaware...
That those you're in search for have abandoned you
So move on from this point forwards
Ignore them and learn from the past
Learn that nothing ever lasts
And if it does then it's love
Be sure of that."
The seer motioned her hand across
Her crystal ball revealed a light
The seer looked the visitor in his eyes
And smiled
"You shall find love and romance
A person that is true
A person giving you a chance
To be you
So go and walk your road
Doesn't matter if you're fast or slow
Your pace matters none, but what matters most
Is that to make sure you don't run
For if you sprint it's for you, not from
Something that scares you on the path
And make sure to listen to the wind
For it speaks to you and carries messages
That no one meant to send
And if you feel lost stare at the stars
Find your way
For your future is strange, stranger
And full of dangers."
With a smile and a look the visitor stood
And understood what the seer had meant
He knew what to do
He knew where to take his stead
So the visitor roamed the land
And got buried somewhere, someday
But the visitor did understand
And found his way
