Mystical skies

Should the Earth be filled with war
With famine and death
I'll always look above
To the mystical skies' end
And I'll smile
For the world around me matters not
And I'll smile
For the universe will eventually rot
And I'll smile
For all of us will die one day
No matter how it ends
We'll all be gone either way
In the end
And I wonder why
The skies exist
Their mystical lights
Far as they sit
They light a path
Brighten a night
Make the world
That much bright
Yet...
We as humans darken the skies
The mysticism is lost
To our cities of light
And our skyscrapers
Stargazing wasn't left intact
To watch the lights up there
You'll have to take an act
Move away from all the lights
Go to a desert, to a mountain
To a desolate location
That's where I've found them
The mystical lights in the skies
They brought me peace
When I laid my eyes
Upon them one night
And I know inside myself
That I'll be alright
No matter what wars go on
In my mind
I knew I'll be alright
And I smiled
To calm the pain
And I smiled
Knowing then
That I
Will live forever
For that is where the stars come from
They are the souls of those
Who found their peace after all
When all is said and done
I will become a star
Floating up there
Guiding lost souls
Being fair
With them all
In the mystical skies
I shall rise
And become one
With the lights
And turn up there
One night
