Another time, another life
Life gets stagnant, repetitive, slow
Death is inherently meaningless
Does not matter where we come from
Does not matter where we go
Does not matter what we know
Does not matter what we don't
Yet one does hold out hope
Trying their best to fly
Even when they know they'll fall
Trying to find a meaning in their lives
Even when they know not where to go
The dreamers, stargazers
Like you, like me
They don't belong in this universe
They don't belong here
Maybe in another time, another life
Flying with the waves to reach the shore
Of every decision they made in the past
They remain unsure
Of every single idea they have ever had
They remain cruel
To themselves that is
For these dreamers hold an impossible standard
And punish themselves for not achieving it
They fail to grasp life, to understand it
And that's not even the biggest problem yet
See these people, like you, like me
They don't belong with the rest here
Maybe in another time, another life
They would belong, I'd agree
Maybe a fire has to be lit
Maybe some snow has to melt
Identifying the meaning of life
Is a journey with no end
Many tried
Many failed
Many know not of what they have become
Many flew
Many died
Many don't care for what's to come
In the end I say
To the starry-eyed dreamers
Like you, like me
Dream as you wish, night or day
You don't belong here, but that's okay
Maybe in another time, another life
So my dear ones, fly away
Don't be afraid
For nothing is worth wasting your time
