The last shepherd
He stands alone
The last shepherd known
Standing on that hillside
Gazing upon
A long lost soul
Marching forward
Heading on and on
Clear as day to him
That soul is lost
So he picks up his stick
And takes a walk
Marching over the hillside
Tapping on the old stones
Until he catches up
With that one long lost soul
He cries out
"Wait! Hold on!
I can take you somewhere
Far more peaceful
And calm"
The soul turns to face him
What an amalgamation he thought
For this soul's complicated
Even for a lost soul it is odd
"Where do you come from?"
Asked the soul
"I come from the top
of those hills there"
"And why are you here?"
"It is my duty to guide you
It is the burden I share"
"I see."
Exclaimed the soul
Inspecting it's own hands
"I'm lost, aren't I?"
"I see you understand."
The soul then sighed
And shed a small tear
Before taking the hand
Of the last shepherd there
They walked and walked for long
Over hills and towards the seas
Reaching a peaceful river
Parting the debris
Of a once lost world
Within the soul of this soul
The Shepherd then said
"Go right on ahead
Lay within these waters
Lay yourself to rest"
The soul nodded
And into the water
It went
Cleansing the confusion
It all became clear
That this soul was once
A beautiful human being
They looked once more
And smiled upon
The last shepherd
Who managed to shepherd them home
Didn't pay attention to class to read this, worth it.
