World on fire

See the world we live in
Problematic, isn't it?
Has people asking questions
Whether or not they're worthy
Of love and attention
Their own soul believes that
They're nothing to mess with
Not that it matters a lot
All of us go through these type of thoughts
Cornered inside of a tight spot
Left to rot
The theatre of mind that we own
Disowns us and hurts us in ways we never know
The world on fire around us in a fully blown
Motion makes us feel that our devotion to our own
People is all gone when a person like us devolves into
Their own thoughts they start to walk a path
That they hate
Making a lot of mistakes
A lot of hate to their names
A lot of pain in their steps
Their hearts ache in their chests
The world on fire around them they fail to put it out
They fail to sustain their passions those get burnt out
The flame in their soul is burning low
The faults of their past in their mind they grow
The calming notions of the music they listen to
The words and tunes
They listen through
Their tears that drop
Silently they do
I want to tell those people that it's me and you
You feel those things, yeah, me too
There are millions like us in the world
And I know that doesn't help a lot
But I know that sometimes you need a shoulder to cry on
Let it be mine or someone else's
Everybody jumps over fences and gets hurt
The shaking cores of their hearts
I hear them
I feel their weakness
As if I'm near them
Take a deep breath
Everything will be great when it ends
If it's not great then it's not the end
No matter the messages that we send
Every rule at one point has to be bent
So we repent to ourselves
But at times when the pain can't be borne
We feel reborn when we walk through
So have hope, and know
That even when you're alone
We're around you
