Last night's walk

During last night's walk
I felt engulfed inside
To myself I talked and talked
Spoken some words out loud
If you passed me you'd think I'm insane
If you walked by you'd have been mesmerized
I was singing really old songs
Ones that I had memorized
And I walked on and on
From point to point I moved
Wandering around all along
Going around in a groove
Looking for a spot where the light is weak
So I can see the start of the night
See, last night I had a walk
And god, it did feel alright
Smoking the atmosphere
Getting high off the music
Pumping sounds down into my ears
That I found so damn amusing
Walking my sorrows off
Not minding my mental state
Trying to get euphoric
As time froze in its place
In my position I am lost
In my thoughts I'm so far gone
Staring at the stars of the night
Walking, just having fun
I hate living in the city sometimes
It's too lit up outside
Wish I could walk through the desert
Reach the other side, alright
